MARTIN LUTHER - ART AND THE REFORMATION

By Saralee Mogilner

On Thursday, December 7, BOND members had the rare opportunity to visit the Minneapolis Institute of Art for a guided tour of “Martin Luther:  Art and the Reformation.”

Docent Pam Friedland immersed us in a dramatic story of a critical time of art in the service of spiritual and early power.

Rarely seen masterpieces from the heart of Germany including extraordinary paintings, monumental sculpture, embroideries and objects wrought in silver and gold were the essence of an exhibition that appeared solely at MIA and will certainly become of one of its most successful in its storied history!
